MASON, Mich. – A former Mason police officer is going to reunite with his K-9 companion.
Tamarack, a service dog that previously trained with the City of Mason, was part of a heated custody dispute. Officials from Mason were training Tamarack until her handler, Officer Hayden Wildfong, resigned in January and wanted to keep Tamarack.
This led to the city telling the trainer that his actions did not make him entitled to the dog.
