Kearney Police’s Luna up for ‘First Responder Therapy Dog’ award

KEARNEY, Neb. – Kearney Police is asking people to vote for its first responder therapy dog Luna. She’s up against others across the country for the ‘First Responder Paws Therapy Dog’ Award. The award is being done by FHE Health.

Luna is the first therapy dog to serve members of the Kearney Police Department and Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office. She has served in that role for the last two years and has over 100 visits to the department, sheriff’s office, 911 center as well as community events throughout the county.
