Sniffing out danger: K-9 police dogs take explosives detection course in Seattle

K-9 police dogs had their noses put to the test in the National Odor Recognition Testing course Wednesday.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) hosted the course for law enforcement explosive detection police dogs at the Lumen Field Event Center in Seattle.

This is the first time since 2018 that a training like this has occurred in Washington.

600 dog and handler teams from federal, state, local law, and military teams attended this year’s national training.
