LAS VEGAS, NV – A special retirement ceremony at Nellis Air Force Base as two K9 siblings hang up their leashes for comfy couches.
Military members celebrated SSeneca and SSamuel’s nearly ten years of service on Friday. The litter mates were born on March 13, 2013 and joined the Air Force on May 28, 2014. They graduated from Dog Training School at JBSA-Lackland, Texas. Dogs born at Lackland have a double letter in their name to help distinguish where they came from.
SSamuel was assigned to Creech Air Force Base, Nevada where he served as an Explosive Detector Dog for the 432nd Security Forces Squadron. SSenenca’s duty station was Nellis Air Force Base as an Explosive Detector Dog. Her other duties included substance detection.
