PFAFFTOWN, N.C. – A year ago, 5-year-old lab mix Tonks was found dumped on a dead-end street in High Point starving and suffering from a serious spinal infection.
A good Samaritan found her and took her off the streets.
At just a mere 20 pounds, just skin and bones, a veterinarian and pet fosterer intervened to give Tonks a new leash on life.
In the months that passed, Tonks remarkably recovered, and proved that she is a fighter, alright.
