Sitka, AK – Alaskan artist and musician Nicholas Galanin shared a video on his Facebook page of his 11-year-old dog named Pretty fending off a big brown bear near his home the night prior.
The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. on Aug. 15 in Sitka, a small town of 9,000 people on Baranof Island in southeast Alaska.
