LITTLETON, Colo. – South Metro Fire was called to help at Sterne Park when a dog got trapped in an icy pond on Sunday.

Call 911
Find something to throw or reach
Avoid making them swim
Hold back and follow directions
Follow-up care
Yesterday afternoon this adventurous pup was tired and trapped in the cold water at Sterne Park in @CityofLittleton. People on shore did the right thing by staying off the ice and calling 911.
