85 dogs rescued from Chatham County puppy mill ready for adoption

BEAR CREEK, N.C. – More than 80 dogs and puppies rescued from a suspected puppy mill in Chatham County are ready to be adopted, according to the sheriff’s office.

The Chatham County Sheriff’s Office, Animal Rescue Corps, and Bissell Pet Foundation collaborated to rescue 214 dogs and puppies from a suspected puppy mill in Bear Creek. The sheriff’s office said 85 dogs and puppies are ready to “embark on their journey to loving homes.”
